Frequently asked questions about coverage
Which network does my SIM card use?
Each product on our website clearly states whether your SIM card works on the AT&T or Verizon network. Both networks offer excellent coverage and 5G speeds across America.
Do I need 5G or is 4G LTE enough?
For most travelers, 4G LTE is more than fast enough (25–75 Mbps). 5G is a nice bonus in cities with download speeds up to 2 Gbps. Your phone switches automatically between 5G and 4G.
Is there coverage in national parks and remote areas?
AT&T and Verizon have the widest coverage of all American providers, including many rural areas and highways. In very remote areas coverage may be limited — this applies to all providers.
Does my phone need to support 5G?
No, a 4G phone works fine. You'll use the 4G LTE network. Have a 5G phone? Then you'll automatically benefit from the higher speeds where 5G is available.
